Just like people need to adjust their mindset to start a new relationship, mechanical equipment needs a brand-new oil filter every time it gets an oil change. This is the most basic and crucial rule for equipment maintenance: always replace the oil filter synchronously with the oil. An old filter can never match the performance of fresh lubricating oil, just as a stale mindset cannot support a new start.
The standard replacement cycle of an oil filter is completely aligned with the equipment oil change cycle. Under normal operating conditions, finishing an oil change means completing the matching filter replacement. However, the replacement frequency is not fixed. If the equipment works in harsh environments such as high dust, high humidity, or heavy load for a long time, internal mechanical wear will be intensified. More impurities, metal debris and contaminants will accumulate in the lubricating oil, which will speed up the clogging and aging of the oil filter. In this case, we need to shorten the replacement cycle and replace the oil filter more frequently to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Many people ignore the importance of timely oil filter replacement, but a clogged oil filter will bring fatal risks to the core equipment— the compressor. When the filter is blocked by accumulated dirt and impurities, the circulation of lubricating oil will be severely restricted. This problem will directly lead to low oil pressure difference and insufficient oil supply inside the equipment.
Lubricating oil is the "blood" of the compressor, responsible for lubrication, heat dissipation, wear reduction and buffer protection. Once the oil supply is insufficient, the internal parts of the compressor will lose effective lubrication and heat dissipation. Friction between components will increase sharply, and the operating temperature will rise rapidly. In the end, it will cause severe wear, burnout and even scrapping of the compressor, bringing huge maintenance costs and equipment downtime losses.
To sum up, regular oil and filter replacement is not a trivial maintenance step, but a key line of defense to protect the compressor and extend the service life of mechanical equipment. Adhere to the principle of "oil change equals filter change", and adjust the replacement frequency according to the actual operating environment of the equipment, so as to keep the equipment in a stable and efficient working state all the time.
